2009 Underwater Intervention
New Orleans, Louisiana, March 3-5, 2009
The Underwater Intervention Conference is a joint effort by the Marine Technology Society’s Remotely Operated Vehicle Committee and the Association of Diving Contractors International. It is held annually in January or February. The meeting has multi-tract papers, workshops, tutorials and social events, and conference attendees receive a CD ROM of the proceedings.
The conference is of interest to a number of diverse marine industries, including offshore oil and gas, marine construction, shipwreck exploration, ocean mining and marine salvage. Presentation tracks include cable, remote intervention, commercial diving, and shipwreck salvage, among others.

At the 2009 Underwater Intervention Exhibition in New Orleans, Wolfgang Burnside introduces the new TRV and points to the TRV-005's innovative design features.
NOTE: SSI and the TRV-005 were called offshore that very night. The TRV performed flawlessly for 200 consecutive hours with zero downtime to date.
