MAXROV
The MaxRov is a Live Boat ROV system equipped primarily for inspection as well as some construction functionality. The unit is operational to depths of 3300' and can be efficiently deployed from vessels of all sizes can be fully operational within hours of being positioned on deck. (MORE..)
Manufacturing
SSI has taken it upon itself to design and manufacture a new breed of ROV, with 33 years of operational ROV experience SSI feels confident that this System will surpass the operational parameters of any other ROV currently being manufactured in its class.
The new Systems currently being built at SSI’s facility in Patterson, Louisiana minimize the need for Technicians in the field and will be the first truly modular ROV that will practically eliminate downtime.
The System’s will be designated as TRV’s (Tethered Remote Vehicles).
The TRV will be capable of conducting Inspection and certain Tooling Tasks down to 750m which SSI feels is a realistic maximum operational depth for this type of System.
Inspection TRV
The TRV in Inspection mode consists of the following components:
1) Dual internal Pan & Tilt Camera’s ( High-Res Color and Near SIT B&W)
2) 4 x Variable LED Lights.
3) MS 1000 using 1071 High Resolution Sonar Heads.
4) 4 Function RHD Hydro-Lek Manipulator. Single Hydraulic Pump and 4 function valve pack.
5) PA-500 Altimeter.
6) Gyro / Fluxgate Compass.
7) Auto Depth, Heading and Altitude.
8) 5 x 150 lbs Thrust Thrusters w/ Magnetic drive couplings. (2 x Horizontal, 2 x Vertical, 1 x Lateral)
9) Strobe / RF Beacon for emergency location / recovery.
10) Cathodic Protection Measurements.
11) Wall thickness Measurements.
12) Lock / Latch Assembly for safe Launch and Recovery.
13) T-6061 Aluminum 2” Square tubing frame w/ High density Syntactic non porous Buoyancy block.
14) 50 lbs Payload
WorkClass TRV
The TRV in Workclass mode consists of the following components:
1) As above but excluding 4 Function Manipulator, Single Hydraulic Pump and 4 function valve pack.
2) 2 x 5 Function RHD Hydro-Lek Manipulators, Dual High Flow Hydraulic Pumps, 12 Function valve pack w/ Tooling ports.
3) 2 x Additional 150 lbs Thrust Thrusters in Horizontal positions Port and Starboard.
4) Payload of 200 lbs.
5) Neutrally Buoyant Skid Assembly.
